Today I am thankful for our right to vote. I can't imagine living in society and having to obey someone's laws and rules that I didn't have a voice in choosing.

With that said (caution pregnant lady rant) I feel that the future of our country is dismal. People vote based on feelings and not facts and the sense of entitlement, what can I get for free, and I do what I want are ruling our elections. There's more to it than that, but the next generation (of which I am part) is so self centerd and worried about "making sure everything is fair" that it's bringing our country down.

Thankful November

Recently I’ve felt a strong feeling of gratitude and thankfulness to the Lord. My life is good and blessed and so many things that were worries and brought stress, anxiety, and strife, I'm now at peace with through God’s faithfulness and provision.

To kick off thankful November (because it’s an easy way to ease back into blogging- if I choose to do so) here’s a general list for what's been making me feel so blessed. (BTW, it totally annoys me when people say they are #blessed, it’s seems to have gotten commercialized and cliché, that’s not how I mean it, it’s just the best way to describe it)

• Financial peace
• Happy and healthy children
• Healthy pregnancy
• My husband
• God’s presence in my daily life and activities
• Discipline

I’ll be back to elaborate on these things and more for Thankful November.

Um hello! Yeah it's been awhile... again... this time I'm not going to try to keep up or post date things, even though my ocd may make that crazy, instead I'm just going to start again. (Ok I'll maybe add 1-2 posts from January or February, but we haven't really been up to a WHOLE lot so it won't be hard to update.)

My cousin over at Home Sweet Harney just started a blog... a DIY/home renovation/design blog. It's so great! She's really my husband's cousin, BUT the few times (which needs to change) I've hung out with her, we hit it off and I can easily tell we'd be great friends if we only got to see each other more often. Same style, same taste, she's definitely more talented than me on the craft and DIY stuff, but that's ok, cause I know I'm still pretty good too :) .Anyways she just inspired me to write a little tidbit update and maybe I can keep up with the blog thing afterall. Also... it doesn't hurt that we just got a new (to us) camera. It's a Canon dSLR and that's the most I could tell you, I have a lot to learn still.

Crazy Hair Day

Today was crazy hair day at Carter's preschool. We borrowed a big afro wig for Carter to wear, but I had a feeling he would change his mind and that it would be too hot or itchy. So we did a ponytail Mohawk instead :-)

Brittany’s Bridal Shower

There’s not a whole lot more I love than planning a party… A baby or bridal shower to be more specific, and I have to say, I throw a pretty good shower! Remember Heather's Sip and See??? Also… I’m getting another sister! My brother in law picked one of the sweetest, nicest, funnest- (i know its not a word) girls to marry this fall and so I got to practice my shower talent on her… We based the theme/decor off of the invitations and just went with it. (I did have the help of my AMAZING sister in law, Heather). Also.. sorry the picture quality isn’t that great, my camera battery was dying and I’m not super fast at editing bad photos yet :)

    

OH Doggity Dog Dog

We have a dog, Bella, a beautiful, crazy, chocolate lab. We got her before we had kids…I always joke that a dog is the gateway drug. Last week a friend send me a painfully true article about Kids and Dogs. And then I go and find these adorable pictures of her as a puppy. Le sigh.
